L-isoleucine is a proteinogenic amino acid that is encoded by triplets starting with AU (AUU, AUC, AUA). It is present in all proteins. L-isoleucine is important for the growth and development of organisms, participates in the metabolism of proteins, fatty acids, regulation of glucose transport, supports the digestive tract, growth and development of the embryo.
